Become a sponsor
Sponsorship keeps two things going: the open-source tools I build, and the videos I publish across my two channels. It isn't about buying a product — it's about funding the ongoing work so it stays healthy, useful, and free for everyone who relies on it. If that's something you'd like to back, here's how it works and what I actually take on.
Ways to sponsor
There's no rigid menu. Most sponsorships fall into one of these, and I'm happy to mix them to fit what you care about:
- Ongoing support — a recurring monthly amount that funds the tools and the content broadly.
- A specific project — earmark your sponsorship for one of the tools you depend on.
- Video sponsorship — back a series, a single video, or a channel over a stretch of time.
- One-off — a single contribution, no strings attached.
The open-source work
A lot of the real cost of open source is the unglamorous part: triaging issues, reviewing pull requests, writing documentation people actually read, and cutting releases on a schedule others can build on. Sponsorship pays for those hours directly. It's the difference between a project that quietly rots and one that stays dependable.
The videos
I run two YouTube channels — one focused on self-hosting and developer tooling, the other on longer, more experimental builds. Making videos well takes real time: scripting, recording, editing, and the research behind each one. Sponsoring a video or a channel helps me keep that cadence without cramming the content full of unrelated ads.
If you have a product that genuinely fits the audience, a video sponsorship can be a good match — but I only feature things I'd actually use and can talk about honestly.
What sponsors get
Recognition scales with the level of support — a spot on thesponsors page, a logo and link, a shout-out in a video, or a dedicated write-up. Beyond visibility, higher tiers get a closer line to what I'm working on: monthly updates, priority on issues, and a say in what gets prioritized next.
Get in touch
The simplest way to start is to reach out and tell me what you have in mind — a project, a channel, a budget, or just a question. Companies needing an invoice or a custom arrangement are welcome too. We'll figure out something that fits.
This website is ad-free and will stay that way.
